General Major Neil Sexton CB is an extraordinary strategic leadership expert with a unique background. As a former helicopter pilot, Neil has held commanding roles in Army or Tri-Service aviation, rising to brigadier.
He has extensive operational experience, having flown missions in Northern Ireland in 1992, Iraq in 2003 (where he commanded 659 Squadron), and Afghanistan, where he served as the Commanding Officer of the Joint Helicopter Force and later as Commander of the UK Joint Aviation Group in 2007 and 2012 respectively. Additionally, Neil served as the Deputy Commander of the Joint Helicopter Command and was the professional head of Army Aviation from 2013 to 2015.
In addition to his military accomplishments, Neil has served as an instructor at The Royal Military Academy Sandhurst and the Joint Services Command and Staff College. With over 35 years of dedicated service, Neil has recently transitioned into a consulting role, specialising in integrating reputation and communications into successful strategic planning.
